Spring 2018 TMC Seminar Schedule

This Spring, the Theology, Medicine, and Culture Initiative, in partnership with the Trent Center for Bioethics, Humanities & History of Medicine at Duke, will continue the Theology, Medicine, and Culture Seminar Series. These seminars are regular gatherings of faculty, fellows, students, and others interested in the intersection of theology, medicine and culture. Formats include invited speakers, clinical case discussions, and colloquia for student research.

February 2nd – Sarah Barton, MTS, MS, a ThD candidate at Duke Divinity School and a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Duke University Medical Center

 

 

February 16th – Brett McCarty, MDiv, a Th.D. candidate at Duke Divinity School and St. Andrews Fellow in Theology and Science

 

 

March 2nd – Susan Eastman, PhD, Associate Research Professor of New Testament at Duke Divinity School

 

 

 

March 23rd – Patrick Smith, PhD, lecturer at the Center of Bioethics at Harvard Medical School and principal faculty member for the Initiative on Health, Religion, and Spirituality at Harvard University
