Sarah Catherine Carter

is a TMC fellow and MTS student. She recently graduated with a BA from Baylor University, having studied medical humanities, biology, and Spanish. Sarah Catherine wrote her undergraduate thesis on topics of physician-assisted suicide, disability, and Christian communal end-of-life care, and she is excited to continue to explore these topics with peers and mentors at Duke Divinity. Beyond issues of end-of-life care and disability, Sarah Catherine is passionate about the intersections of theology and health care. She hopes that this program will equip her to engage health care theologically through medical school and into medical practice. Sarah Catherine was born and raised in Waco, Texas, and she and her husband now live in Durham. Outside of school, Sarah Catherine enjoys hanging out with her husband and their cat, improving her many mediocre crafting skills, and drinking coffee.
