is a TMC fellow enrolled in the Theology and Health Care Certificate Program. Coming from Texas, he graduated from Baylor University with a B.S. in Biology. Grip’s undergraduate exposure to medical humanities and mission trips to Peru taught him the importance of integrating theology, faith, and Christian virtues into his daily life, education, relationships, and future career. He is excited to continue the pursuit of these goals while a part of the community at Duke Divinity. Grip loves working with kids, and plans to tutor and mentor preschool children from under-resourced schools during his time in Durham. In addition, Grip finds joy in cultivating deep friendships, playing his guitar, being in nature, reading, and spending time with his family.
