Greg Poore, MD/PhD Candidate

graduated with a B.S.E. in biomedical engineering from Duke University in 2016 and is currently a double doctorate candidate in UC San Diego’s Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP). Greg has founded three corporations that have together raised more than $8 million in funding to serve a variety of causes: underprivileged and foster youth in South Florida; the building of a respiratory management platform for those with chronic lung conditions (Vigor Medical Systems); and a novel liquid biopsy for early-stage cancer detection that exploits non-human, cancer-associated molecules (Micronoma). Greg is also a spirited triathlete and 2019 Ironman Arizona finisher. Working at the nexus of medicine, science, entrepreneurship, and now theology, his overall goal is to develop translational technologies that improve the biomedical diagnosis and management of chronic diseases while also addressing the spiritual needs of his future patients.
