Ellery Sarosi

is a TMC Fellow pursuing the Certificate in Theology and Health Care. She hails from Ann Arbor, MI, where she was born and raised and where she goes to the University of Michigan Medical School. Prior to medical school, she graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in Biology and Neuroscience in 2017. While there, she played varsity women’s ice hockey. In addition to a love for sports, Ellery is passionate about intentionally and personally loving the person in front of her. This love of relationships is what inspires her pursuit of medicine and Ob/Gyn. In particular, she looks to build relationships with those on the margins. This has led to a desire to care for pregnant people with Opioid Use Disorder. While at Duke, she is excited to more fully integrate her passion for medicine with her Christian faith and to consider new ways to care for marginalized populations.
