Drake Sanders

is a medical student at Duke University School of Medicine. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and is excited to return to Texas after his training is complete. He attended Vanderbilt University for his undergraduate studies in Biology and Spanish & Portuguese where he was involved in a number of service and mentorship organizations. He took a gap year before starting medical school and worked in the construction business. Drake has enjoyed Durham and North Carolina for its plethora of outdoor activities from hiking, to climbing, to kayaking down rivers, its food scene, and the people he has met who enrich his everyday life. He is incredibly excited to spend a dedicated year learning more about God and delving into the ways in which we can practice medicine to be a reflection and conduit for the grace and love of Christ.
