Canon Brodar, 2015-2016
is pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Studies (expected May 2016). As a Theology, Medicine, and Culture Fellow, his academic interests include bioethics and the body, and understanding genomic medicine in light of Christian thought. Prior to study at the Divinity School, Canon obtained a BS in Biology and Philosophy at Duke University (2013) and investigated genetic diseases and disorders at Duke’s Center for Human Disease Modeling. A member of the United Methodist Church and alumnus of the Duke Wesley Fellowship, he is excited for the opportunity for formal study at the Divinity School. After learning to articulate questions around medicine, science, and theology with TMC, he plans to pursue medical education.
