is a second year TMC Fellow, MTS student at Duke Divinity School, and a medical student at Baylor College of Medicine in her hometown of Houston, TX. Previously, she attended Baylor University where she studied Biology and was involved in the Medical Humanities program. Through these studies, she developed an appreciation for the interdisciplinary and vocational nature of medical practice prompting her to further study through the Duke TMC Fellowship. Her interests are wide-ranging and include theological anthropology and embodiment in the critical care setting, the influence of political theology/philosophy in medical practice, and institutions of moral formation. After completing her studies, she will pursue residency training in the field of Internal Medicine-Pediatrics, and eventually hopes to specialize in the critical care of patients with congenital heart disease across the age spectrum. In her free time, she enjoys trail running, hiking, and adding to her coffee mug collection.
