Kavin RoweC. Kavin Rowe is the George Washington Ivey Distinguished Professor of New Testament and the Associate Dean of the Faculty. He is the author of four books: Early Narrative Christology (de Gruyter, 2006, repr. Baker, 2009),World Upside Down: Reading Acts in the Graeco-Roman Age (Oxford, 2009), One True Life: the Stoics and Early Christians as Rival Traditions (Yale, 2016), and, most recently, Christianity’s Surprise: A Sure and Certain Hope (Abingdon, 2020). He has also co-edited two books, published over fifty articles and reflections, and sits on the editorial board of several international peer-review journals. Rowe has been a Fulbright Scholar, Regional Scholar for the Society of Biblical Literature, chair of the Society’s Southeastern Region New Testament section, president of the Society’s Southeastern Region, and was elected to the Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas. He was awarded a Lilly Faculty Fellowship, a Christian Faith and Life Grant from the Louisville Institute, the John Templeton Prize for Theological Promise, the Paul J. Achtemeier Award, an Issachar Fund Grant, and a Distinguished Scholars grant from the McDonald Agape Foundation.

 

Bradley Gregory is Associate Professor of Biblical Studies at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. A specialist in the Old Testament and Second Temple Judaism, his research focuses on wisdom literature, biblical theology and ethics, and the early interpretation of Scripture. He is particularly interested in how changing cultural situations affect the understanding and interpretation of Scripture. He is the author of Like an Everlasting Signet Ring: Generosity in the Book of Sirach and forthcoming books, A Critical and Exegetical Commentary on Sirach 1-10 and The Theology and Spirituality of the Psalms of Ascents. Along with Ian Boxall, he is also co-editing the New Cambridge Companion to Biblical Interpretation.
