Practice and Presence 2019
Join TMC for Practice and Presence 2019: “Fear Not: Faithful Health Care in an Anxious Age.” Ample evidence indicates that physicians and other health care practitioners are as frustrated with American healthcare as ever before, and Christian practitioners are no exception. Many struggle to find ways of practicing that answer to their calling as healers, much less their calling as followers of Christ. In this context, Christians are tempted to cynicism and resentment. In the 2019 Practice and Presence conference, we will explore concrete choices Christians can and do make to do their work in healthcare Christianly. We will hear stories from Christian practitioners who have found ways to inhabit broken healthcare institutions faithfully, and from others who have created new institutions that better align with a Christian vision for health and healthcare.
