Care of Severely Impaired African-American Newborns: A Matter of Public Health and Social Ethics

At 12 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11th, Dr. Patrick Smith will discuss the role of structural racism in healthcare disparities in neonatal medicine in Minneapolis, MN. “Drawing on theology, philosophy, and empirical research, Smith offers a trenchant bioethical analysis and suggests a way forward for a more humane and equitable medicine.” This event is sponsored by Anselm House and the Christian Medical & Dental Student Association (CMDA).
